As we expand our operations, we are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team and ensure that all equipment and facilities run smoothly, allowing our skilled craftspeople to focus on what they do best!
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for maintaining the functionality and reliability of our machinery (CNC, Hundegger, Planer, Weinmann), tools, and building facilities.
This role will support the production team and Maintenance Supervisor by ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and complies with health and safety standards.
You will play a key role in minimising downtime and ensuring smooth, uninterrupted workflow across the Oakwrights site.
Key Responsibilities of our Manufacturing Maintenance Engineer:
Planned Maintenance:
Develop and execute a schedule for regular preventive maintenance of all machinery, tools, and facility systems.
Inspect equipment regularly to identify potential issues, wear and tear, or malfunctions.
Work with our Maintenance Supervisor to undertake PPM across all of our production workshops.
Reactive Maintenance:
Respond promptly to breakdowns and repair faults to minimise disruption to operations.
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with a variety of mechanical and electrical systems.
Documentation & Compliance:
Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations and safety standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer, preferably in manufacturing.
A strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and building systems.
Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding, and diagnostic equipment.
Working knowledge of health and safety regulations.
Relevant certification in engineering, electrical, or mechanical disciplines is preferred.
Experience with Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) is a plus.
