Production Engineer

We are seeking a Production Engineer to work for a manufacturer of scientific instrumentation based in Cheadle Hulme. Working in a scientific and technical environment you will be responsible for building and functional testing of instruments and interfacing products whilst adhering to quality standards, health & safety and environmental policies. With a positive and methodical approach, you will be encouraged to learn and develop skills to ensure the smooth running of production lines and the quality of output whilst collaborating effectively with the interfacing teams. Primary Responsibilities • Build new systems and interface products • Functional testing of product (pre-test) • Perform quality inspection • Maintain and record assembly times via ERP system • Work collaboratively with the analytical test team • Discuss and solve complex problems with the production department • Comply with the Health, Safety and Environmental policies Essential Experience, Skills & Person • A relevant degree in manufacturing or engineering is desirable but not essential.
