Purpose of the Role We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head Chef to lead and develop our client's kitchen team, ensuring exceptional food quality and maximizing customer satisfaction. This role involves the day-to-day management of the kitchen, focusing on profitability, team motivation, and high standards of service delivery. Key Responsibilities Food Quality and Consistency Lead the kitchen team to deliver dishes according to standard operating procedures, ensuring consistently high standards. Develop the food offering in line with the culinary vision. Communicate the food agenda effectively within the venue. Kitchen Profitability and Performance Maintain kitchen profitability through strong gross profit (GP) management. Manage staff rotas efficiently to ensure the right people with the right skills are scheduled at the right times. Control and manage stock effectively, including conducting monthly stock takes. Team Leadership and Development Lead and support the kitchen team to deliver high standards of service and customer satisfaction during service periods. Ensure the team has the necessary tools and resources to perform their roles effectively. Conduct daily briefings with the kitchen team to align on goals and expectations. Provide comprehensive induction and ongoing development for all team members. Train and develop kitchen teams, ensuring compliance with company standards and policies. Conduct quarterly check-ins and offer development opportunities for all team members. Foster an open, honest, and engaging culture where team members can excel. Provide ongoing coaching and mentoring to support team development and retention. Prioritize the well-being of your team members, ensuring their needs are met.
