Senior Software Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer - High Reliability Communication Systems - Notts, to £55KThis is an interesting role for an experienced Senior Software / Firmware Engineer to join a company who develop high reliability, intrinsically safe communication systems for life and safety critical systems. As a Software / Firmware Engineer, you will be responsible for software development, software design, embedded software development, debugging, and firmware development.You will work closely with the engineering team to create and optimize firmware solutions for these safety critical systems.There is a flexibility on working from home for the right person with some days at the office on a when needed basis.You will need:Strong skills in a mix of C++, Windows and embedded software design and developmentProficiency in debugging and troubleshooting firmware issuesExperience in firmware development for industrial applicationsKnowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ and AssemblyMicroprocessor programming experienceAssembler programming on PIC32 and ARM machinesExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work in a team and collaborate effectivelyBonus points for :C# knowledgeExperience in the electronics, telecoms or industrial automation industryA great opportunity for a Software Engineer, who is experienced in both C++, Windows and embedded software to use both skill sets and to join a small team who are genuinely developing software and systems that save lives.For more information, to apply or simply to discuss this or other options please call Mike Jenkins on 01582 329991
