Lunch time supervisor / midday supervisor

Provide Education are currently recruiting a Midday Supervisor to work in a Primary School in the Kirklees area. This is a part time position working 2 hours per day across lunchtimes Monday - Friday. As a Midday Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in supervising students during lunch periods, promoting positive behaviour, and ensuring a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience. This position requires patience, empathy, and the ability to engage with children in a positive and supportive manner. Key Responsibilities: * Supervise students during lunch breaks, ensuring their safety and well-being. * Monitor behaviour and encourage positive interactions among students. * Assist in setting up and clearing away lunchtime facilities and equipment. * Organize and oversee activities to engage students during lunch breaks. * Respond to conflicts or incidents calmly and appropriately, promoting peaceful resolutions. * Report any issues or concerns to senior staff members as necessary. * Ensure compliance with school policies and procedures during lunchtime activities. The successful candidates will: * Previous experience working with children, ideally in a school or childcare setting, is advantageous. * Good understanding of safeguarding principles and child protection procedures. * Ability to remain calm and patient in a busy and sometimes challenging environment. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills Flexible working hours, full time / part time hours available.
