The role will be working in the Learning and Development team, responsible for supporting the L&D strategy, developing the capability of our employees, embedding competencies into the organisation and designing and delivering training experiences. We are going through an exciting period of transformation, so if you are looking to further develop your skills and want to join a team who are passionate about healthcare science and people development, this could be the role for you.Our Corporate office is situated 5 minutes from Southwark station you will have easy access to the vibrant South Bank and local amenities, however this role will be a mixture of working in the corporate office, working from home and attending other sites around the UK.Main duties of the jobYou will be a member of the Learning and Development team working across the SYNLAB UK business and will be involved in supporting the learning and development strategy, designing and delivering training, curating and designing digital content, providing 1:1 coaching and psychometric feedback as required. The role involves working closely with the Head of Learning and Development to deliver the strategy, developing the capability of managers and leaders, embedding the ACCE competencies into the business processes, implementing an appraisals process and working on other projects in line with the One SYNLAB approachWorking for our organisationYour development and learningYou will have a suite of learning opportunities available to enable you to reach your potential, learn new skills and achieve your goals. This is managed between you and your line manager in line with your own personal and professional development ambitions.Detailed job description and main responsibilities Design and deliver management, leadership and personal development workshops for SYNLAB UK&I colleagues to develop personal capability and effectiveness Deliver psychometric and 360 degree 1:1 feedback and group team building workshops with a focus on practical application and behavioural changeCurate and design digital content for the LMS ensuring this is appropriate and fit for purpose for the organisation Oversee the monitoring and completion of statutory and mandatory e-learning Provide learning and development advice and guidance to employees, managers and leadersDesign evaluation approaches for specific programmes reviewing feedback and reporting on a range of levels from initial reactions to return on investmentPartner with the business to identify performance and development opportunities, developing and deploying solutions once agreed.Work closely with business leaders and HR colleagues to diagnose performance issues and talent development needs through dialogue, assessment methodologies and talent and performance analytics. Assess the success of development plans and help employees make the most of learning opportunitiesWork on continuous improvement of the L&D programmes using feedback and evaluation data Work with the Head of L&D to forecast L&D budget spend and approval processesWork with the appraisal working group to review the appraisals process across the business and make recommendations for improvements ensuring alignment with One SYNLAB and consistency across business unitsDevelop and support career pathways for a variety of roles and departmentsDevelop manager capability at all levels, particularly focussing on those newly promoted into management rolesSupport the embedding of ACCE leadership competencies into business processesDeliver the ACCE leadership journey for managers from all levels and departmentsSet up and manage the process for approving external personal development qualificationsManage the coaching framework process including the PSL and deliver internal coaching Coach managers to develop their team members through career paths, adhering to the coaching frameworkWrite and distribute L&D related communications as and when requiredDeliver the corporate induction for new starters Source and manage new suppliers and supplier based platforms ensuring utilisation is maximised Line manage the L&D administratorManage other L&D projects as requiredDeputise for the Head of L&D as and when requiredSynnovis is a pathology partnership between SYNLAB UK and Ireland, and the NHS, including sites(HR1) , Guy's & St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust and King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, to deliver and transform pathology services across South East London.The partnership provides services to 1.7 million people living in South East London, as well as to hundreds of thousands of patients from outside the region who use local healthcare services.The partnership provides diagnostics, testing and digital pathology for hospital trusts, GP services and other healthcare providers. Person specificationQualifications Essential criteria Learning and Development qualification or equivalent.Coaching qualification. Desirable criteria Accredited in psychometrics and 360 feedback.Experience Essential criteria Extensive experience of designing and delivering training for leaders and managers.Coaching qualification.
