Developing Electric Vehicle technology, manufacturing and carrying out bespoke car conversions requires a range of capabilities, experience and specialist roles. The key is teamwork, and we are looking for focused people with a positive outlook who can carry out their unique roles within the company while supporting, and being supported by, the wider team. Your Role: As a Mechanical Build Technician, you will play a pivotal role in research and development and in the bespoke conversion of vehicles. You will meticulously strip vehicles of their legacy drivetrains and replace them with HV battery systems, e-motor, inverter, gearbox, power steering system, cooling, HVAC and other systems, while working closely with direct colleagues and our engineering team on part location, and integration hardware design and manufacture. Key Responsibilities: Build client vehicles through to handover Maintain accurate build records Collaborate with engineering on build specifications and design Help develop work instructions and guidance materials for internal and external use Ensure team compliance with quality assurance processes and contribute to continuous improvement Identify areas for operational improvements, increasing efficiency and reducing costs Comply with health and safety regulations Perform additional duties, whether functional or administrative, as assigned by management in a fair and reasonable manner Requirements: The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years' experience in assembly Metal fabrication, including sheet metal, welding, and machining Reading and understanding engineering drawings Excellent oral and written communication skills Impeccable attention to detail A drive to succeed in a dynamic, growing business Desirable Experience: Car repair and maintenance Automotive HVAC systems Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.) Familiarity with business tools such as Asana, Jira, etc. Salary offered is between £28k - £40k depending on experience, Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 4.30pm or 8.30am - 5.00pm, plus onsite parking
