Transport & Logistics Supervisor

DC Personnel are seeking a skilled Transportation & Logistics Supervisor to oversee the logistics operations and ensure the efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have strong organisational skills and be able to manage a team effectively. This is a day shift, Monday-Friday at 40 hours per week with overtime available. This is a full time role with the employer wanting to take someone on permanently. Pay rate is £15 per hour plus overtime Duties include: - Coordinate and oversee transportation activities - Manage and supervise a team of around 10 staff and 7 vehicles - Plan all vehicle routes effectively ensuring timely delivery of goods - Communicate with drivers and customers - Monitor transportation costs and maintain budgetary compliance What we need from you: - Experience in team management within the logistics industry - Excellent organisational abilities - Customer service skills - Transport planning experience - Flexibility with hours - Effective communication skills - Proficient in Excel for data analysis - Computer literacy for tracking and reporting purposes - Valid driving license with no more than 6 pts To apply please get in touch or sending a copy of your CV to (url removed) DC Personnel are acting as an employment business in relation to this vacancy
