Overview of role Location: Belfast Hours per week: 20 Salary: £30k to £35k per annum (pro-rata) The main responsibility of the role is Finance Assistant for Allied Bakeries Ireland which includes Allied Bakeries in Belfast and its two depots in Coleraine and Dungannon. Reporting to the Senior Finance Assistant, this includes accountability and ownership for the financial reporting and processing activities on an SAP finance system. The role also includes completion and providing analysis of key finance tasks and making a contribution to the site weekly and monthly processes. Cycle to work scheme Employee Assistance Programme Free car parking Closing Date: Friday 15th November 2024 Key Accountabilities Ensure all processes are completed to facilitate weekly & period reporting and analysis. Issuing weekly & period reports to the General Manager & site leadership teams. Providing ad-hoc finance support to the General Manager and other Senior Managers. Working with the Senior Finance Assistant to ensure compliance to financial controls. Understanding site costs and the variances to budget & forecast in all key areas. Providing ad hoc finance support for GM & senior managers. Follow best practice established at other sites/regions. Liaising with other members of the central finance team to contribute to accurate budgeting & forecasting. The Right Person Association of Accounting Technician or equivalent and/or experience of working in a finance role. Understanding of manufacturing and logistics processes. Accuracy & strong attention to detail. Demonstrable technical ability in finance. Proactive communicator with good interpersonal skills. Ability to work with site senior management team. Ability to communicate effectively with site operations teams, building strong relationships across the organisation. Takes responsibility for helping to develop financial thinking in non finance colleagues. Confidence to challenge but in a supportive way. Team player. Our defining value is to Be The Best We Can Be.
