Full spectrum Lab Services by CBRE, part of Global Workplace Solutions (GWS), is a leading global provider of Scientific Support Services. We are recruiting a Laboratory instrument engineer to join the team based in Bracknell, who has a passion to drive innovation and optimisation of scientific processes for our client.The successful candidate will join a well-established on-site CBRE team within a large life sciences client account, whilst also being connected to a global technical community which is part of the full spectrum lab Services Unit within CBRE-GWS. Working primarily based at 1 site your key responsibilities will be to: Act as the first response to Laboratory equipment breakdowns. Ensuring all critical science and operations are protected. Working with the key equipment users, wider engineering team and our suppliers to ensure that all key laboratory instrument platforms are operationally functional to support the customers science needs Adhere to agreed Service Level Agreements and support team to exceed Key Performance Indicators Develop and implement a proactive maintenance regime for the equipment that supports our client's customised platforms. Working with the scientific teams, make recommendations for how best to optimise system performance through service data insights. Carryout on-going system performance analysis based upon error logs, live run interventions and root-cause analysis & trending of errors to mitigate their reoccurrence Develop innovative support solutions that bring value to our customer Cross train for wider engineering support within onsite servicing team Adopt and champion new technologies to improve response and resolution time for client Take ownership of workload, parts inventory, safety and quality compliance protocols Maintain awareness of new developments in their field of Laboratory Automation Develop CBRE training packages based on the complex laboratory automation within the customer area that you support, with an aim to increase overall system efficiencies through best use and maintenance practices. Establish & maintain strong relationships with the Vendor Service Organisations Provide technical mediation in the event of long running equipment issues involving multiple vendors Receiving external contractors, checking H&S documentation, and handing over to end users. Skills and Experience: Experience in maintaining scientific laboratory instrumentation or automation technologies Pharmaceutical / Regulated working background Previous experience of working in multidisciplinary customer facing teams Advanced Technical Skills in the field of expertise or Experience of servicing scientific equipment Driving Continuous Improvement and innovative solutions Good Understanding of device networking and communications protocols Excellent PC and Microsoft tools skills
