Fixed term contract to 31st March 2027 Part-time - 4 days per week (29.6 hours per week) The Blackdown Hills National Landscape is looking for a new team member to lead on farm advisory delivery of the Grant in Aid (nature based solutions) project within the catchment of the River Culm. The programme from central government for managing flood risk is known as the Flood Defence Grant in Aid (FDGiA), this funds a contribution towards the delivery of nature based solutions to make the river Culm and its floodplain more resilient to the effects of climate change, natural flood management and drought. The role is about delivering Grant in Aid in a small number of sub-catchments and communities within the Culm and will work closely with the wider Connecting the Culm team. You’ll be the local lead on the delivery of agreed work packages, adhering to agreed shared approaches. You will be the first point of contact in relation to the specific Grant in Aid projects. You will develop designs and secure agreements with farmers and landowners to install a range of flood resilience measures and nature-based solutions. You will need to be qualified to at least degree level and have considerable experience of partnership working, engaging with a broad range of community stakeholders and implementation and monitoring of management plans and programmes of work. The role will be based in Hemyock (nr Cullompton) with flexibility for home working some of the week. The role will include travel throughout the River Culm catchment.
