In House Counsel – VP – Derivatives Lawyer – Asset Management Sector – 2-6pqe - London
Our client is a prestigious asset management business with a global footprint. They offer risk and investment management advisory services to institutional, intermediary and individual investors around the world.
They are looking for a VP level Derivatives Lawyer with transactional experience to be in house advising their global markets team dealing with issues that arise from the trading and market facing activity of their funds and clients.
You are likely to be involved in matters such as equity and fixed income cash trading, OTC derivatives, exchange traded derivatives, prime brokerage, repos, securities lending, clearing, structured notes and foreign exchange.
You will have 2-6 years’ experience in private practice and/or in house and have a solid understanding of the legal and regulatory issues relating to OTC and exchange-traded derivatives trading (in particular equity, rates and FX asset classes) and market structure. An interest in the digital/crypto asset landscape would be helpful. We would like to see that you have a good grasp of the regulations relating to EMIR, MiFID II and MiCA, and ISDAs . You will be a solutions orientated, team player who can be autonomous and self-directed as well as work closely with other legal teams across the globe and other legal and compliance groups.
You will be asked to be in the office for 4 days a week.
