Quality Assurance Lead - £400 per day - Inside IR35 - Primarily Remote with occasional attendance to a site in Gloucester - 6 months initial contract. My client, the UKs biggest producer of Zero Carbon electricity, is looking for a skilled Quality Assurance Lead to manage and enhance quality and test assurance for their Nuclear IT Services department. You will ensure IT services and products delivered to Nuclear Operations meet regulatory and compliance standards, while driving operational safety and effectiveness. Key Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of quality assurance processes across the department and with external partners, ensuring alignment with regulatory and business requirements. Provide expert advice and guidance on quality management and compliance to internal and external projects, ensuring all IT services meet operational safety standards. Oversee the creation, review, and approval of key quality documents, including Quality Management Plans, Lifetime Records, and other project-related documentation. Ensure compliance for IT services and changes delivered to Nuclear Operations, managing all legal, regulatory, and process requirements. Collaborate with project managers to review and monitor supplier quality plans, ensuring they are compliant with project specifications. Actively address areas of poor quality or non-compliance, supporting project teams in implementing corrective actions. Support internal and external audit activities, ensuring timely resolution of non-conformances and identifying opportunities for improvement. Educate and guide teams on Nuclear Operations’ quality expectations and ensure proper adherence to quality management practices. Skills and Attributes: Strong knowledge of quality management systems, particularly in regulated sectors. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external partners. Experience in managing quality deliverables within project frameworks, ensuring compliance and process adherence. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to assess the broader business impact of quality decisions. Experience: Previous experience within the nuclear industry is highly advantageous. In-depth understanding and practical application of ISO:9001 standards. Proven track record of successfully delivering quality assurance in complex projects
