Position: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Braintree, Essex
Salary: £85,000 + car allowance (negotiable for the right person)

They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for someone who has a proven track record working with a tier one or regional main contractor with significant experience working on school projects valued at £(phone number removed) and above.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of the contractual and financial side of construction projects.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities.
- Perform risk, value management, and cost control.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
- Negotiate and procure subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and control project budgets and costs.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Provide regular reports on project progress, budgets, and forecasts.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
- Proven experience working with tier one or regional main contractors.
- Extensive experience working on school projects valued at £(phone number removed) and above.
- Strong knowledge of construction contracts and legislation.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools (e.g., MS Office, cost management software).
- Professional membership with RICS or equivalent is preferred.
