Infrastructure Specialist

Job DescriptionMy client is looking for 2 new team members. A Senior & a Junior Infrastructure Support Engineer is required by leading UK tech client based near Birmingham. As part of a growing team, your time will be spent working on building your expertise in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, Azure and other technologies. You'll be a proactive problem-solver, identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact clients who are broad and varied, public and private sector across the UK. Any practical experience of cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) would be advantageous.About the Role:Key responsibilities will include:Troubleshooting complex infrastructure issuesMaintaining and monitoring infrastructureCollaborating on projects to implement new solutionsLeveraging your technical expertise to optimise servicesProactively identifying and addressing potential issuesSupport, coach, and mentor the more junior members of the team, leading by exampleContribute with ideas and suggestions on continuous service improvementDevelop, produce and maintain IT documentation and follow IT procedures as requiredTo be considered a suitable candidate for the Senior role, you will need to show proven experience in a long term 2nd or 3rd Line support role. Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Intune, Teams, Azure, Citrix, and VMWare. Experience with Backup/Archiving technologies. Scripting knowledge such as Powershell and an interest in automation/orchestration. You'll be a strong advocate for ITIL process. A client-centric mindset and a passion for delivering exceptional service. A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a team environment.
