SEN Teaching Assistant Additional Information: 🕒 Hours: Monday - Friday (09:00 - 16:00)  💰 Salary: £20,941.63 - £22,834.95 (£11.72 - £12.78 per hour), depending on experience  📅 Contract: Permanent, Full-time (40 hrs per week, term time only)  📍 Location: Royston, Hertfordshire  Key Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant: Student Support: Build warm, caring relationships with students to help them feel safe and supported, fostering an environment where they can enjoy and learn. Promote Independence: Encourage personal development and independence in students, maintaining high expectations of behaviour. Educational Activities: Assist in providing high-quality, challenging, and differentiated educational activities that help students reach their full potential. Classroom Assistance: The SEN Teaching Assistant will support the Class Teacher with daily classroom activities and ensure smooth operation. Adaptability: Respond to the changing needs of the school and adapt to various tasks as required. Holistic Development: Promote the cognitive, social, emotional, behavioural, physical development, and spiritual well-being of students. SEN Teaching Assistant Skills and Qualifications: Education: Minimum Grade 4 or equivalent in GCSE Maths and English Language. Safeguarding Knowledge: Understanding of Safeguarding principles and Child Protection procedures. SEN Experience: Previous experience working with pupils with SEN desirable. Transportation: Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, or ability to commute to Royston, Hertfordshire. Compliance: Must have a Full-Time Right to Work status.
