Digital Marketing Director - Europe or East Coast North America

Digital Marketing Director

This role will report into the Global Director, Marketing and will be accountable for setting the vision and direction for the Digital marketing strategy, whilst leading a team of SME's. A list of core areas of accountability are below:

  1. Developing and delivering comprehensive, integrated digital marketing strategy and roadmap that furthers ERM's commercial / business objectives, including but not limited to:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive digital marketing strategies to achieve business goals.
  • Design and define team roles whilst developing a comprehensive operating model, and establishing platform requirements to ensure efficient collaboration, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Growing and maximising business value derived from enhanced social media presence with a clearer focus on audience segmentation.
  • Working closely with the Media and Martech Director to provide overall direction for the management of ERM's corporate website and the SustainAbility Institute by reviewing and overseeing updates to the site in line with our go-to-market strategy.
  • Define (and articulate) audience/segmentation models in addition to designing the appropriate customer data/acquisition strategies.
  • Building an industry-leading digital marketing capability, globally and regionally
    • Develop processes, assets and tools that enhance the company's approach to digital marketing, particularly with regional teams and key functions.
    • Work with Media and Martech Director to establish martech roadmap and how to best leverage CRM to achieve marketing objectives.
    • Develop and grow the global team to ensure it is adequately resourced and specialised to meet global and regional demands.
  • Creating, delivering and optimising digital marketing campaigns
    • Working collaboratively with executive teams to oversee the plan and execution of digital marketing calendar and campaigns across channels.
    • Consulting with key stakeholders to advise on best and most effective approaches as well as managing external agencies with the aim of maximising impact of campaigns.
    • Ensuring all campaigns bring to life ERM's brand and maintain consistent messaging across all platforms.
    • Work with content and marketing teams to develop and maintain a clear pipeline of innovative and distinct digital content across all channels.
  • Bringing a data-oriented mindset to ensure continuous improvement and focus on measuring the impact of digital marketing activity
    • Define KPIs and oversee the measurement of results as well as analyse the effectiveness of content on corporate website.
    • Providing impact reports to key stakeholders to demonstrate business value.
    • Evaluate and deploy digital tools/software to improve efficiency and effectiveness of marketing activities.
  • Providing strategic counsel and education to ERM business leaders
    • Working with ERM leaders to become 'brand ambassadors', understanding and utilising digital media more effectively to engage different audiences and realise business value.
  • Budget Management:
    • Develop and manage the digital marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources.
    • Monitor expenditures and ensure campaigns are delivered within budget constraints.

    Job Requirements & Capabilities

    Qualifications
    • Undergraduate Degree or higher in Marketing, advertising, business management or other related discipline.
    • Proven years of experience in roles with strategic focus/influence and execution as a senior leader/head of Marketing with over 8 years plus experience in leading and implementing a commercially focused Digital Marketing strategy.
    • Progressive leadership and experience of managing programs and globally dispersed teams.
    • Experience of working in a global and matrix organisation.
    • Extensive experience of building and influencing long term internal client relationships with senior leaders.
