Are you a dynamic and strategic leader with a passion for operational excellence? We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager to join our client's Wellingborough team and drive performance in a fast-paced, global engineering, repair, and logistics company. Our client supports premier brands throughout the entire product life cycle, providing best cost solutions and end-to-end support. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for ensuring the efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective delivery of all products and services, building a culture of continuous improvement, and driving results that meet and exceed client expectations. Key Responsibilities: Performance & Productivity: Review performance data to track productivity, goal achievement, and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement. Quality & Compliance: Establish and monitor KPIs to drive quality improvements using continuous improvement (CI) methodologies. Ensure maximum efficiency and quality targets are met within budget and in compliance with quality and environmental management standards. Workforce Management: Plan, schedule, and review workload and manpower to meet operational targets in a cost-effective manner. Implement cross-training and standardisation across operations. Customer Escalations: Analyse customer escalation activities, generate corrective actions, and implement strategies to improve client satisfaction. Leadership & Team Development: Build and lead an effective leadership team, implementing succession planning and development strategies to foster a high-performance culture. Health & Safety: Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations across all operations and manage the performance of direct reports with a strong emphasis on workplace safety.Qualifications: Educational Background: Degree-level education preferred. Experience: Proven track record in strategic management and leading operational teams. Financial Acumen: Familiarity with business and financial principles, budgeting, and forecasting. Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of Health & Safety laws and regulations, ideally with IOSH qualification. Standards & Compliance: Previous experience with Quality/Environmental management standards is essential.Key Skills: Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities to navigate complex challenges. Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict management skills to build relationships and drive results. Leadership: Ability to inspire and lead operational teams, implement change programs, and create a high-performance culture. Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, adjust to changing business needs, and proactively identify improvement opportunities.Day-to-Day: Collaborate effectively within and across teams to achieve goals and deliver on targets. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the department's activities, focusing on high performance standards and desired outcomes.
