Lead Ruby Software Architect Global Leading Non-for-Profit Nature Conservation Organisation are looking for a hands-on Lead Ruby Architect to join their team, working on their most strategic project on their flagship product! This company helps to conserve endangered species, climate change, oceans and natural landscape. Please note this role would include one day working in office per month in Cambridge. Role – Lead Ruby Architect In this role, you will be leading the development of their core software application and will be responsible for hiring into the team, dealing with internal and external stakeholders, managing the team, and be involved with all aspects of the project lifecycle. Lead Ruby Architect Requirements: 7+ years of Ruby and Ruby on Rails Development 3+ years in a software team leadership position in an agile or shape up environment Strong experience with React, Vue, or Hotwire Experience with the use of Unix-based operating systems Experience in developing APIs in Ruby on Rails Experience with updating software and databases on Unix-based systems Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Environmental Science or related field (Desirable but not essential) Experience with Web-based mapping tools, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), PostGIS, ArcGIS, and QGIS (Desirable but not essential) Lead Ruby Developer Offer: Competitive Salary 12% Pension Contribution Flexible Working Model Ruby, Ruby on Rails, GIS, Geographic Information System, Lead Ruby Developer, Ruby Architect, Lead, Lead architect
