We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Operative who can bring their organizational expertise and attention to detail to ensure the smooth running of our warehouse and showroom operations. Key Responsibilities: • Pallet Organization & Warehouse Management: - Organize pallets of tiles and other materials, ensuring they are stored and stacked safely and efficiently. - Maintain clean and orderly warehouse conditions at all times, optimizing storage space for maximum efficiency. • Forklift Operation (Preferred): - Operate a forklift to move heavy materials and goods, load/unload trucks, and assist with product placement in the warehouse. - Ensure proper handling of tiles and materials to prevent damage. - Forklift certification preferred but training can be provided for the right candidate. • Inventory Management & Tracking: - Monitor and manage stock levels, ensuring timely replenishment of inventory. - Perform regular stock checks and update inventory records using our inventory management system. - Flag any stock discrepancies and coordinate with the office team to resolve issues efficiently. • Order Fulfillment & Shipment: - Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for dispatch, ensuring on-time deliveries with correct documentation. - Work closely with the sales and logistics teams to ensure orders are processed and shipped correctly. - Collaborate with shipping carriers and suppliers to ensure smooth and timely deliveries. • Showroom Support: - Assist with organizing and maintaining the showroom by helping with product displays, ensuring a visually appealing and organized environment for customers. • Office & Administrative Assistance: - Provide general administrative support to the office team, including data entry, filing, and managing inventory records. - Assist with order processing, ensuring that all customer orders are accurately entered and tracked through the system. - Support the team in any ad-hoc tasks related to warehouse or office operations. Qualifications & Skills: • Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse environment, preferably within the building materials or construction industry. • Forklift Skills: Forklift driving experience is preferred, but not essential (training provided for the right candidate). • Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.) safely and efficiently. • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage stock, orders, and warehouse layout effectively. • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with warehouse, sales, and administrative teams to ensure seamless operations. • Basic IT Skills: Competency with basic computer operations, including using inventory management systems and Microsoft Office Suite. • Communication: Good written and verbal communication skills to interact with team members, suppliers, and customers. • Problem-Solving: Initiative to resolve day-to-day issues, such as stock discrepancies and order fulfillment challenges, in a timely manner.
