Amspec Limited - Wigan have grown over the last 22 years into one of the most capable and exciting Design & Build enterprises in the Northwest, currently operating in 4 key sectors: -Commercial and IndustrialRetail and LeisurePublic SectorSpecialist and Bespoke (our Specialist and Bespoke service involves the Design and Manufacture of fitted and loose Joinery products).We are currently recruiting an experienced Health & Safety Co-Ordinator (Freelance OR Temporary Contract-based) to support, advise and oversee all Health & Safety requirements / aspects on a large valued Architectural package of works in Deeside (NEC Contract).This is a site-based role 2 – 3 days per week for a duration of approx. 8 – 12 months to start ASAP.Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsure H & S regulations and best practices are adhered to at all timesAttend a weekly health and safety meeting (with client and PC)Assist in delivering a daily safety briefingAssist in maintaining company H & S targets and objectivesCarry out weekly inspections, produce a report and share the findings for actionDeveloping risk assessments, method statements, COSHH assessments, tool box talks (as required)Near miss reportingAssist with incident & accident investigationsProvide technical & HSE support to the Site Management TeamFinding practical solutions to issues that arise on SiteExcellent time management and prioritization skillsOther duties ad-hoc as required by Amspec or the Principal ContractorEssential RequirementsNEBOSH General / Construction CertificateAt least 5 years’ experience in a similar roleUK based Construction experienceExperience working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent problem solving and communication skillsStrong knowledge of NEC contracts / regulationsUK Drivers licence and own transportAs a business, we recognise that our strength lies within our workforce and our Investors in People achievement reflects our commitment to people management excellence.
