We are working with a reputable global manufacturer who are seeking experienced Shift Production Engineers for Day or Night Shifts. Ideal candidates will have a background in overseeing workshop operations, particularly in an assembly or machine operation role.
This role offers a competitive salary complemented by attractive shift allowances that are in addition to the base salary! Candidates can choose from multiple Day (06:00-18:00) or Night Shifts (18:00-06:00), alternating between 3 or 4 days a week, including one weekend day.
Shift Production Engineer Duties Include:
- Supporting the department head in optimising product output
- Investigate and offer suggestions for process improvements and or cost reductions
- Assisting in production as needed to ensure consistent output
- Aiding in the training of new staff and progression training of existing staff
- Diagnosing and preparing lathe machines and other related equipment
- Using maintenance software to complete and update tasks
- Providing support to Service Engineers when necessary
The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in a production environment, with practical expertise in methodologies such as Kanban, Root Cause Analysis, Poka-Yoke, and other process improvement techniques.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate, with a strong emphasis on opportunities for advancement within the company.
