Join Our Team The Southfield Trust is seeking dedicated and passionate Teaching Assistants to join our vibrant team in a rewarding educational environment. The Role As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our teachers and engaging with our pupils. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting in the preparation and delivery of lessons Providing support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete tasks Helping to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment Monitoring and recording student progress Assisting with the management of classroom resources and setup About You We are looking for candidates who have: A genuine passion for education and the well-being of children Excellent communication and interpersonal skills The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and school staff Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 2/3 for Teaching Assistants or equivalent) are desirable but not essential We Offer A supportive and welcoming staff team Opportunities for professional development A dynamic and creative work environment Contract This is a permanent contract subject to a successful probationary year. The paid hours of work are 30 per week (6 hours each day) - Monday to Friday This is a term time only post which is paid for 45.05 weeks per year. As this post is part time / term time only the salary will be Single Status Grade 3.7 and pro rata of the full-time figure (£22,737) and is £15,927 per year. As part of your contract, you are required to work an additional 5 days during the holidays to cover clubs. These days can be spread throughout the year or completed in one week, depending on the requirements of your allocated school site. You will be paid for these additional hours with your contracted hourly rate.
