Who we are looking for?
The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded security background in:
- Security Information and Event Monitoring (SIEM) technologies, DLP, Vulnerability Scanning, experience of engineering and administering end point security applications including full disk encryption
- HIDS, NAC, cloud-based storage, mobile technologies & IDS/IPS
- The candidate will have contact with internal stakeholders, other information technology (IT) professionals, and vendors so is required to identify, research, analyse, and resolve complex issues and problems.
- The Global Platform Engineer will also contribute with design, implementation, configuration, integration, and maintenance with project related solutions.
Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Digital Workplace Manager and Operations & Infrastructure Manager the Global Platform Engineer’s primary responsibilities includes:
- Design, deployment, support and remediation of Information Security tools
- NGFW Threat Management (IPS, Web Filtering, Anti-Malware)
- Endpoint and Identity / Access Management (IAM) technologies & virtual desktops on-prem & cloud.
Required Specialist/Technical Knowledge:
- Designing and managing Citrix applications
- Strong technical knowledge of virtualization solutions (Virtual Apps, Virtual desktop, PVS, AppSense, NetScaler, FSlogix, VMware (vSphere) and Cloud Gateway.
- Manage multiple XenApp / XenDesktop images through monthly image updates.
- Strong/Advanced troubleshooting capabilities.
- Knowledge of Windows 365 and AWS
- Knowledge of Microsoft server operating systems and environments
- Process automation: ability to use advanced scripting language, i.e., PowerShell.
- System monitoring; Splunk, Datadog and ControlUp preferred
- Knowledge of IP network design and principles, Windows OS, Intel-based hardware configurations and components for workstations and servers; security best practices; MS Active Directory; Storage Area Network technologies; system monitoring and event analysis; virtualization concepts and technologies; Group Policy
