Data Governance Architect

We are delighted to be supporting a leading Insurance firm that is looking for a Data Governance Architect that will lead, develop and manage data governance tools and frameworks across the UK business. This role ensures best practices are applied in Master Data Management, data cataloguing, data lineage, and other areas, treating data as a key asset.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and roll out data governance tools to enhance data quality and protection.
• Define roles and responsibilities for data governance, ensuring accountability and stewardship of tools.
• Act as a liaison between business units and technology, ensuring tools meet business requirements and are integrated into daily operations.
• Ensure data governance tools are incorporated into all CIO projects and are fully utilised.
• Identify opportunities to improve data quality and trust through enhanced use of tools.
• Support the establishment of data management competencies, including data quality, metadata, and data standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to minimise data risks and boost data literacy across the organisation.

Requirements:

• In-depth understanding of industry-leading practices and tools for data quality and management.
• Extensive experience in implementing and managing data governance tools and processes.
• Proven ability to resolve business and technical challenges related to the management of enterprise data assets.
• Knowledge of government regulations and emerging trends in data governance.
• Strong ability to communicate a clear vision for transformation initiatives and guide teams effectively.
• Experience managing senior-level relationships across various business and functional areas.
• Skilled in fostering collaborative and constructive working relationships.
• Capable of building trust, respect, and cooperation within and across teams.
