D365 F&O Functional/Technical Support Consultant Location: Remote Job Type: Full-Time Salary: Flexible (Experience Depending) Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated D365 F&O Functional/Technical Support Consultant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing in-depth functional and technical support for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 F&O), ensuring smooth operation of the system and resolving any technical or business-related issues. This position requires an individual with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and deep knowledge of D365 F&O modules and functionalities. Key Responsibilities: Primary Support Contact : Act as the main point of contact for end users experiencing functional or technical issues with D365 F&O, ensuring quick and effective resolution of incidents. Incident & Service Request Management : Monitor, log, and manage incoming support tickets related to D365 F&O, ensuring they are resolved within defined SLAs. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues related to various D365 F&O modules, including finance, procurement, supply chain, and manufacturing. Root Cause Analysis : Investigate and perform root cause analysis on recurring issues, implementing long-term solutions to prevent reoccurrence. System Configuration & Maintenance : Support ongoing system maintenance by managing updates, system patches, and configurations. Assist with minor system enhancements, configuration adjustments, and module setups based on business requirements. User Training & Documentation : Provide training to end users on how to effectively use D365 F&O, focusing on optimizing workflows and resolving common issues. Develop and update support documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and issue resolution procedures. Collaboration with IT Teams : Work with internal IT teams, developers, and third-party vendors to escalate issues that require advanced technical or development support, ensuring quick resolution and minimal system downtime. Data Integrity & Security : Ensure data integrity across the D365 F&O system by regularly reviewing system configurations and user access controls, and addressing any discrepancies or data errors. Testing & Validation : Participate in the testing and validation of system upgrades, patches, or new features before deployment to the production environment. Qualifications and Experience: Experience : 3+ years of experience in a D365 F&O support role, with a focus on functional and technical issue resolution. Strong understanding of finance, supply chain, or manufacturing processes within D365 F&O. Hands-on experience troubleshooting functional and technical issues in a support capacity. Technical Skills : Proficiency in the configuration and support of key D365 F&O modules (finance, procurement, supply chain, etc.). Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and methodologies, as well as the ability to resolve issues through system configurations. Knowledge of basic development concepts (X++, Power Platform, SQL) is advantageous, though coding is not the primary responsibility. Soft Skills : Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a customer-focused mindset. Excellent communication skills, able to convey technical issues to non-technical users in a clear and concise manner. Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple tickets and prioritize tasks effectively. Education : Microsoft certifications (e.g., MB-300, MB-500, MB-700)
