Early Intervention Job Coach

Spencer Clarke Group are seeking an Early Intervention Job Coach for a Local Authority Client based in North London.

In this role, you will provide support and guidance to unemployed individuals, helping them overcome barriers to employment, improve their job prospects, and secure sustainable housing solutions.

About the role:
You will be tasked with delivering key strategic objectives:

• Provide individualised support and advice to unemployed participants to address barriers to employment.
• Manage a caseload, creating personalised action plans to guide participants towards employment.
• Deliver employability training, including CV writing, interview skills, confidence-building, and digital literacy.
• Assist in accessing welfare benefits, including Housing Benefit, Discretionary Housing Payments, and rent deposit schemes.
• Use homelessness prevention tools to support participants in sustaining tenancies or finding affordable accommodation.

About you:
The successful candidate will have the following skills / experience:

• Experience working with unemployed individuals to enhance their employment prospects.
• Experience providing advice, guidance, and support to help individuals move towards sustainable employment.
• Experience delivering workshops or one-to-one support on employability skills such as CV writing, confidence building, and job search techniques.
• Experience managing a caseload, including effective planning, prioritization, and case recording.
• Familiarity with welfare benefits, including Housing Benefit, Local Housing Allowance, and Discretionary Housing Payments.

What's on offer:
Salary: 20+ph
may negotiate higher for exceptional candidates, based on experience

Contract type: 3-6, months minimum, with a high likelihood of extension

Hours: Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week
