About the role: Are you a compassionate and dedicated Level 3 Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs? We're looking for an Early Years SEN TA to join our inclusive, forward-thinking school in Waltham Forest. As an Early Years SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), offering tailored support to meet their unique learning needs. You will be a key part of the school's dedicated SEN team, which provides comprehensive resources and guidance to ensure your success in the role. Your main focus will be helping children develop social, emotional, and academic skills in a safe and nurturing setting. Application Requirements: • Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential). • Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs, particularly Autism. • A passion for creating inclusive learning environments. • Patience, empathy, and strong communication skills. • Ability to work collaboratively within a team. • A clear DBS check (or willingness to obtain one). Key Responsibilities: • Provide one-on-one and small group support for children with SEN, particularly those with autism. • Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to students’ needs. • Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and monitor student progress. • Use a range of strategies to manage behaviour and support social development. • Create a safe, supportive learning environment that encourages independence and confidence in students.
