Salary: 61,116.53 (inclusive of 35% holiday bonus for 33 days per year; 25 vacation and 8 bank holidays)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Use data science background to identify new opportunities to boost plant efficiency.
  • Extract, transform, load, analyse and report complex manufacturing data from multiple data sources.
  • Develop and Maintain a range of visualisation products to communicate insights including manufacturing data dashboards.
  • Act as plant point of contact with our central innovation network, global data analytics & insights team, as well as the various IT departments within Ford Motor Company.
  • Develop a digital/data science team within the plant.
  • Deploy data analytical training and skills development within other departments within the plant.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, a Physical Science or a related quantitative field is required or equivalent experience relevant to the field in an engineering/automotive environment.
  • Demonstrable problem solving skills and providing data support to manufacturing investigations.
  • Demonstrable competence in automating data pipelines.
  • Working knowledge of Big Data Analytics tools with experience of interfacing to Cloud based databases and data visualisation tools.
  • Demonstrable skills in writing SQL to query databases and experience in Python programming language.
  • Understanding of capabilities of current and future data analytical technologies.
  • High degree of self-initiative, drive and flexibility.
  • Strong ability to lead, motivate and work in a team.
  • Resilience is essential. Candidates must be able to deal with difficult problems whilst maintaining a positive attitude.

Hours:

Monday to Thursday 7:00-15:30 and Friday 7:00-12:30
