Senior/Principal Civil Engineer Newcastle £ DOE The Role: Do you want to join a company who delivers diverse and exciting projects across the UK delivering design of site infrastructure for schemes such as small affordable residential estates, quarry and mining sites, wind, solar and battery energy projects, mixed-use commercial developments and educational facilities? As a key member of the Civil Engineering team, you'll lead the design development process and primarily design highways and drainage systems, collaborate with clients, and ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget. What You'll Do: Prepare reports, drawings and specs for development infrastructure Design highways and drainage networks using AutoCAD, Civils 3D and more Produce Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies Manage S278/38 highway agreements and S106 drainage adoption processes Collaborate with clients and multidisciplinary teams Mentor junior staff and progress your career with our tailored training and support Requirements: BEng (or related) - minimum requirement Minimum 4 years' engineering design experience Proficiency in digital design tools like AutoCAD, MicroDrainage, Civils 3D and Causeway Flow Strong understanding of UK standards and regulations with ability to prepare highways and drainage designs to local and national standard with S278/28 /S106 agreements Great problem-solving, communication, and team skills with experience of working in multi-disciplinary and collaborative design team environments Proven experience in creating Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategy reports with application of SuDs features Skilled in producing quality Technical Reports Benefits include pension, 24 days leave, private healthcare, life assurance, hybrid working and flexi-time.
