  • Provide design solutions that accommodate a wide range of physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities, ensuring equitable access to all aspects of the built environment.

Project Management:

  • Liaise with developers, contractors, and regulatory bodies to advocate for inclusive design practices and ensure adherence to accessibility requirements.
  • Collaborate with community groups, disability advocates, and other stakeholders to gather input and feedback on design proposals, ensuring that diverse perspectives are considered.
  • Educate clients and team members on the benefits and importance of inclusive design in real estate and construction projects.

Compliance & Standards:

  • Ensure that all projects comply with relevant accessibility laws, standards, and guidelines, including ADA, ANSI, and local building codes.
  • Stay informed about the latest developments in inclusive design, accessibility standards, and construction technologies, and apply this knowledge to projects.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to accessibility compliance, design decisions, and project outcomes.

Innovation & Sustainability:

  • Explore and implement innovative design solutions that promote sustainability, energy efficiency, and inclusivity in the built environment.
  • Participate in industry conferences, workshops, and professional development opportunities to stay at the forefront of inclusive design trends in the construction and real estate sectors.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to develop creative solutions to complex design challenges.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality, inclusive design outcomes.
  • Certifications in accessibility or inclusive design (e.g., ADA Coordinator Certification, Certified Professional in Accessibility Core Competencies - CPACC) are preferred.
