Senior Manager - Market Risk

We are partnering with a fast growing/expanding diversified global financial services platform who are recruiting for a Market Risk Manager/VP. Competitive salary on offer (dependent on experience) + bonus + benefits. Hybrid working – 4 days in office, 1 WFH. Monitor and assess market risk exposure across a variety of asset classes. - Identify potential risk concerns and collaborate with traders and other stakeholders to implement effective risk management strategies. - Evaluate new business or product initiatives and provide recommendations to the Head of Market Risk. - Develop and implement risk policies and procedures, including establishing risk limits and stress-testing methodologies. - Perform regular risk assessments and deliver timely, accurate risk reports to senior management. - Collaborate closely with other risk managers and control teams to ensure consistency in risk management practices. - Keep abreast of regulatory changes and ensure adherence to relevant regulations. Excellent at building relationships and networking. - Capable of working independently and driving projects forward. Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or a related field. - At least 5 years of experience in market risk management, with exposure to both cash trading and derivatives across multiple asset classes. - Strong analytical and quantitative abilities, capable of identifying and analyzing complex risk issues. - Deep understanding of financial markets, products, and instruments. - Knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to market risk management. - Experience in programming, with strong proficiency in Python and SQL being an advantage.
