Job Title: Commercial Lawyer (2-4 Years PQE)

About the Role: Our client, a highly respected data provider specializing in the financial services and real estate sectors, is seeking an experienced and driven Commercial Lawyer with 2-4 years PQE to join their growing international legal team. This is a unique opportunity to work in an exciting and fast-evolving industry, where you’ll play a pivotal role in managing legal matters for innovative data solutions and complex transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Drafting and Negotiation: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including licensing agreements, data-sharing contracts, and service-level agreements for both the financial services and real estate sectors.
- Legal Advisory: Provide clear and practical legal advice on issues related to data privacy, intellectual property, commercial contracts, and regulatory compliance across different markets.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks associated with data management, data licensing, and related commercial agreements.
- Transaction Support: Assist in legal due diligence for data and real estate-related transactions, advising on relevant legal and regulatory implications.
- Compliance: Stay abreast of evolving legal frameworks, particularly in data protection (GDPR, CCPA) and real estate regulations, ensuring the company remains fully compliant.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the commercial, product, and compliance teams to ensure alignment between legal strategies and business objectives.
Ideal Candidate:
- 2-4 years PQE with a background in commercial law, ideally with exposure to data privacy, IP, or technology-related agreements.
- Prior experience working with clients in financial services or real estate sectors is a plus.
- Strong understanding of commercial contracts, data licensing, and regulatory compliance.
- Ability to navigate complex legal environments with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to explain legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Proactive, solution-focused approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
