We are excited to partner with a global leader in information technology and software solutions for the scholarly sector as they embark on an exciting expansion into the European market. They are seeking a dynamic and goal-oriented Sales Manager to spearhead business development and drive new sales opportunities across the library, corporate, and government sectors throughout Europe. This role offers flexibility to be based in the UK or Western Europe. Reporting to the VP of Sales, the new Sales Manager will play a pivotal role in building a strong portfolio of European clients and establishing the company’s presence in this key region. Key Responsibilities: New Business Development: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities across UK and Europe, creating a robust pipeline of prospects and converting them into long-term clients Sales Strategy: Develop and execute effective sales strategies to penetrate the European market, focusing on client acquisition and revenue growth Client Engagement: Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial outreach and conducting demos to negotiating contracts and providing ongoing support Market Expansion: Build strong relationships with customer, ensuring a deep understanding of their needs to deliver tailored solutions Performance Tracking: Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and updates to senior management to ensure targets are met Industry Presence: Represent the company at conferences, client meetings, and industry events, establishing the brand as a leading provider of tech solutions in the scholarly space About You Proven experience in business development and sales to academic libraries, ideally within the SaaS or e-content sector A strategic mindset with the ability to identify market opportunities and drive business growth Exceptional relationship-building skills and a consultative selling approach Strong track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with proficiency in additional European languages being a plus but not essential This role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated sales professional to take ownership of a growing territory and make a significant impact on the company’s expansion into Europe.
