We are looking to recruit an IT Security Operations Analyst for a technology driven public sector organisation.
The Security Operations Analyst will play a key role in monitoring and safeguarding my client's digital infrastructure. You will be responsible for detecting and responding to security incidents, supporting threat intelligence, and ensuring compliance with security standards. Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
- Provide technical security advice on ongoing projects and activities.
- Manage and enhance vulnerability detection technologies, threat intelligence, and security tools.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure security standards are met.
- Assist in incident management, remediation efforts, and process improvement.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in incident response and threat intelligence.
- Strong knowledge of security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, EDR, Tenable Nessus).
- Hands-on experience in vulnerability management and security testing.
- Relevant security certifications such as CompTIA Security+, (ISC)² SSCP, or equivalent.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical security concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with cloud security (Azure Security, Defender, Purview).
- Knowledge of penetration testing and risk assessment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Sentinel or other SOC/SIEM solutions.
