Buyer Manchester Ladieswear Fashion Brand Due to the continued success of the brand, they are looking to expand the buying team with a Buyer! Key Responsibilities: - Management of department through product development, sourcing and range planning, to drive sales for category - Reporting and effectively communicating all key trade information to Buying Manager and Directors - Ensuring that the right level of newness is achieved to create exciting ranges for relevant customer and brand - Generating ideas and suggestions to promotions and markdowns - To achieve a bought-in margin (BIM) in line with business’ KPI’s, as well as ensuring prices are competitive - Monitoring and maintaining range as per KPI’s and managing spend accordingly - Responding to competitor analysis’ and constantly looking for new ideas for product - Attending buying trips – both in the UK and Internationally - Manage supply base and cost price negotiations - Liaising with marketing and ecom team to ensure sales are maximised throughout the site - Effective communication with Junior and assistant buyers - Attending fit sessions to ensure garments are fit for purpose Requirements - At least 5 years experience in the buying industry - Strong analytical skills - Creativity - The ability to recognise trends and respond to them quickly - Good communication and presentation skills - Ability to make decisions under pressure - Negotiation skills
