Graduate BMS Controls Software Engineer

The Opportunity Are you a recent graduate in electronics or a software / computer science related field that is looking to kick start your career in Controls Software and BMS design? If so we want to hear from you… The role is to support the delivery of all software based solutions. As part of the software team you will be involved from conception to project completion gaining valuable experiences along the way. The Role Design and code control systems strategies for HVAC applications. Test software using functional test simulators to ensure correct operation Produce project documentation including control philosophies, O&M manuals, functional test scripts and BMS points lists’ Attend internal and external client/site meetings as necessary to determine initial scope of works and correct functionality during commissioning Work closely with the Research & Development department to incorporate new technologies and features into projects and report improvements back Provide technical support for site engineers and customers as required Be a focal point for customers, helping to resolve any issues and develop our commitment to them Mainly office based position as an integral part of the project delivery team Site work will be required on a job by job basis Desirable Skills & Experience Hold a technical degree with the willingness to learn and succeed. Capable of understanding and designing control strategies Awareness of BMS and common communication protocols (Modbus, BACnet, TCP/IP) Good electrical knowledge and capable of understanding electrical drawings Have basic knowledge of IT systems and communication networks Logical and methodical approach to problem solving using own initiative is a must Have good written & communication skills Team player Full training will be provided for the right applicant Prospective candidates must have proof that they have the right to work in the UK.
