Assistant Rural Surveyor - APC Candidate

Our client, a multi-disciplinary property consultancy with six offices across Surrey, is seeking an ambitious Assistant Rural Surveyor to join their growing Rural and Agricultural Department. If you're an APC candidate looking to gain diverse experience and progress your career in rural surveying, this role offers an excellent opportunity to work alongside a supportive team of experienced surveyors.
Position Overview
As an Assistant Rural Surveyor, you will provide professional advice and services to clients in the rural and agricultural property sector, focusing on valuation, land sales, utilities, grant schemes, and land use matters. This role will provide you with a wide range of 'on the ground' training and experiences to assist you in passing your APC.
Responsibilities
- Assist in conducting valuations of rural and agricultural properties
- Support the sale and marketing of agricultural land and estates
- Provide professional advice on rural property matters to clients
- Assist in the management of rural properties and negotiations
- Advise on rural planning matters and work with the Planning Department
- Guide landowners on compulsory purchase projects and utility company work
- Handle rural grant applications and emerging Natural Capital Schemes
Requirements
- Actively working towards APC to become a RICS member
- Some professional experience in rural surveying or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build client relationships
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment
- Proficiency in relevant software and technology used in surveying
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges and opportunities
- Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to various sites
