Assistant HR Partner (652050)

Salary: £31,396 - £34,980 FTE: 1 (35 hours/week) Term: Fixed Term (18 months) Closing Date: 14 October 2024 As an Assistant HR Partner for our Faculty of Engineering Innovation Centres, you will provide professional advice and support on a broad range of generalist HR issues, currently with a focus on recruitment activity, under the guidance of senior HR colleagues as required. This role will provide an on-site consultancy style HR business partner approach to the Innovation Centres, ensuring an accessible forum for employees to discuss their queries and issues, therefore it is essential that the individual be confident, approachable and able to deal with employees at varied levels of the business. To be considered for the role, you will have a formal qualification such as an HNC/HND, or significant equivalent relevant experience, as well as current CIPD membership. You will have a developing track record of contributing at a professional level within an HR environment, preferably within a business partnering environment. You will be familiar with people management good practice and employment law, and will use your analytical and problem-solving skills to identify HR solutions which align with business needs and organisational strategy. Although the HR Directorate is based on the University’s main campus, it is expected that this key role will spend up to 50% of the week embedded within the business areas, often based in Inchinnan.
