As part of their commitment to inclusion, we are seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join the team.Role Overview:As a Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the inclusion and academic progress of students with special educational needs. Working collaboratively with classroom teachers, special education staff, and other professionals, you will contribute to creating a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.Key Responsibilities:Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, adapting teaching methods and materials as necessaryImplement and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) and behaviour plans in collaboration with the SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and teaching staffCollaborate with teachers to differentiate instruction and create an inclusive classroom environmentSupport the participation and engagement of students with special educational needs in mainstream classroom activitiesWork closely with the SENCO, teachers, and other professionals to share information and insights about student progress and challengesCommunicate effectively with parents/guardians to provide updates on student development and discuss strategies for support at homeAssist in the creation and adaptation of learning resources to meet the diverse needs of studentsCollaborate with teaching staff to identify and implement appropriate assistive technologiesEncourage and facilitate the development of independence and self-advocacy skills in students with special educational needsRequirements:Level qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent (Desirable)Experience working with students with special educational needs, preferably in a mainstream school settingKnowledge of various special educational needs, including but not limited to autism, ADHD, dyslexia, and speech and language difficultiesStrong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team of educators and professionalsPatience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive learning environmentIf you would like to know more please contact Supply Desk on 01296 752 499 for more information and Apply Below.WE ARE OFFERING A £100 REFERRAL FEE FOR ANY SUCCESSFUL REFERRALS OF FRIENDS/COLLEAGUES WHO WORK 5+ SHIFTS!Supply Desk is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
