Import Account Manager

Position: Import Account Manager Location: Felixstowe Salary: up to £45,000 We are recruiting for one of the UK's leading logistics and freight companies that operate worldwide and offer a full range of services in the UK, across Europe and Internationally across all trade routes. We seek a skilled Import Account Manager to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the account management of their key accounts. You must have a strong background in freight forwarding operations; with experience dealing with LCL & FCL ocean freight imports, import regulations and customs clearance procedures. Your key responsibilities as an Import Account Manager Oversee, manage and coordinate all aspects of ocean import operations for key accounts Serve as the primary contact for key accounts Ensure compliance with international regulations and documentation Identify ways to expand business, by upselling, cross-selling and introducing new services Carrier management - negotiate freight rates, quotes and pricing solutions for customers Liaise with overseas agents, shipping lines and various carriers Implement KPI's and performance metrics Driver process improvements to streamline operationsRequirements: Key account management experience ESSENTIAL You must have the ability to quote and negotiate with overseas agents The ability to put together consols based on various LCL bookings In-depth knowledge of international trade regulations, customs and INCO terms Proven experience in managing relationships with ocean carriers Extensive knowledge of ocean import processes with strong LCL & FCL Experience with CDS system Benefits: Salary dependent on experience - paying up to £40,000 24 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays Perk Box Discount Platform Full training and support Cycle to work scheme Employee assistance program Extensive learning opportunities Employee Engagement Forum Reward and Recognition programme Monthly Pay Day Treat DayWR Logistics are the #1 recruitment partner for all vacancies in the logistics industry.
