Teaching Assistant Challenging Behaviour Support (SEN School) Location: Lewisham, South East London Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 4:00 PM) Contract Type: Long-term with permanent opportunity Additional: Free side road Parking, bus routes and overground transport links. About the Teaching Assistant Role: We are looking for committed and resilient Teaching Assistants to join a secondary SEN school in Lewisham borough. In this role, you’ll support students with complex behavioural needs, helping them engage with learning and achieve their potential. The school caters to pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, and Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (SEMH). Teaching Assistant - Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-on-one and group support to students, focusing on managing challenging behaviours * Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement tailored learning plans * Use your experience to build positive, supportive relationships with students and manage challenging situations effectively * Foster a safe and structured learning environment, encouraging social and emotional development * Promote positive behaviour and emotional resilience, acting as a key role model * Supporting with core subject support across secondary age groups.
