Role and Responsibilities:

• Act in a senior capacity within the Electrical Engineering department.
• Lead in the development and delivery of electrical engineering specifications and deliverables for our new projects.
• Perform and review electrical studies (load-flow, arc-flash, short-circuit, coordination, etc).
• Specify electrical distribution equipment, MV & LV Switchgear, Motor Control Centres, Emergency Diesel Generators, Power factor capacitors, Variable Frequency Drives, Harmonic Filters, Motors, Transformers, UPS etc.
• Review technical submissions and provide technical resolutions to project, construction, and design issues.
• Review specifications, Single line diagrams, Control wiring diagrams, control logics, piping and instrumentation diagrams, plot plans, general arrangement drawings, area classification drawings and other relevant project documentation.
• Review equipment and cable layout, lighting layouts, earthing and lightning protection layouts, cable schedule, bill of quantities equipment layouts, cable containment drawings.

• Person Specification & Competencies:

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering

• Competency in the use of Trimble Pro-design (formerly Amtech), ETAP, Dialux, Naviswork and AutoCAD software packages.
• Proficient in the design of MV (33kV and below), and LV distribution.
• Knowledge of Hazardous Area Classifications and Legislation.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Enthusiasm and aptitude to be part of a growing team.
• The ability to progress with several different tasks simultaneously and deliver to schedule.
• Excellent co-ordination, monitoring, communication skills and tactful in resolving issues.
