An exciting opportunity has landed at Fortnum & Mason Piccadilly, as we look for a Retail Pastry Chef, with a focus on our Confectionery counter on the Ground Floor.
Our Retail Pastry Chef will be front and centre of our Confectionery island creating a sense of theatre, whilst working with the finest chocolate products.
You will be delivering a first class experience to our customers, providing a sense of theatre as you personalise products and customers orders.
Key Responsibilities General:
Production of all items, with the correct recipe card and procedure, correct quantity and of good quality
Work in collaboration with the management team to deliver front of house service
To maintain hygiene and sanitation of the work area
Use of the chocolate tap and tempering chocolate
Work with the teams to create new ideas and products of high quality confections
Ideally, you will have:
Experience as a Commis/Demi Chef de Partie with a focus on Pastry or Chocolate
Knowledge of chocolate production techniques, including tempering & moulding
A good understanding of Health and Safety
Strong artistic skills, with focus on personalisation
The ability to use initiative and prioritise tasks to meet production deadlines
