ASD-specialised Teaching Assistant Location: Maidenhead Salary: £85 - £95 Per Day, depending on experience Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/ Full-time GSL Education Watford Branch are currently collaborating with an esteemed school in Maidenhead that is hiring a committed and experienced ASD-specialised Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the educational and personal development of students with ASD, helping them to achieve their full potential. As an ASD-specialised Teaching Assistant, your job will be helping to prepare lessons, offering persistent assistance, customising learning activities to fit the needs of each individual student and contributing to the development of an encouraging, welcoming learning environment. Additionally, in order to make sure every child realises their full potential, you will work with parents, staff and students to track their development. Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For: Provide targeted support to students with ASD, adapting teaching materials and methods to meet their unique needs. Assist in the planning and delivery of engaging, differentiated lessons, working closely with teachers to support the learning process. Implement one-on-one and small group interventions, tailored to each student's specific requirements. Employ effective behaviour management strategies to create a positive and inclusive learning environment. Track and document student progress, providing regular feedback to teachers and contributing to the development of individual education plans (IEPs) Stay abreast of the latest educational practices and ASD strategies, engaging in continuous professional development. The Successful Candidate Will: Have a minimum of a Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or a related field. Essentially have previous experience working with children or young people with ASD. Have an understanding and compassionate approach to helping the students in an inclusive learning environment. Possess an excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
