Fleet Manager Claudy £38,000 - £42,000 + Benefits Are you looking for an autonomous role within a growing business? Do you have previous fleet management experience and are looking for a new, permanent role? As a Fleet Manager, will be responsible for overseeing the compliance, maintenance, and management of a diverse fleet of vehicles and equipment, based at HQ in Claudy. Your role will play a crucial part in ensuring the efficiency, safety, and compliance of the fleet operations and will be working closely with the Operations Manager to manage the entire fleet of HGVs, Vans & Cars. This role will also allow you to be involved in Project Work, assessing needs, costings and functionality of various software and equipment and as such, this role will lend itself well to someone who enjoys taking the lead in ad-hoc projects. Your day to day will consist of fleet and driver compliance, organising servicing and maintenance schedules and booking PSV/MOTs when required. The Role: Fleet Compliance: Ensure all vehicles and equipment comply with industry regulations and standards. Managing and updating necessary permits, licenses, and certifications. Maintenance Management: Utilise maintenance program for all vehicles and equipment. Scheduling regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime. Vehicle and Equipment Management: Monitor the performance of the fleet, ensuring optimal utilisation and efficiency. Data Analysis: Utilise data and analytics to identify trends, track key performance indicators, and make informed decisions to enhance fleet performance. Supplier Relations: Manage relationships with external service providers, suppliers, and equipment vendors. Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure cost-effectiveness and quality of service. The Person: Proven experience as a Fleet Manager, Coordinator or similar role Knowledge of HGV and plant equipment, regulations, and maintenance best practices. Strong management skills. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to analyse data and compile reports for senior management.
