Part-Time HR Specialist- 6 hours per week About Us We are an exciting start-up company based in Truro, Cornwall, looking for a talented HR Specialist to join our growing team on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned HR professional to make a significant impact in shaping our HR practices. Role Overview As our Part-Time HR Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing HR policies and procedures, managing employee relations, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. This is a hybrid role, with occasional visits to our Truro office required. Key Responsibilities - Develop and write a comprehensive company handbook - Create and manage annual leave and sickness absence policies - Ensure best HR practices are implemented and maintained across the organisation - Handle employee relations issues and provide guidance to managers - Oversee recruitment and onboarding processes - Maintain employee records and HR documentation - Contribute to the development of HR strategy aligned with business objectives - Provide HR advice and support to employees and management Requirements - CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience - Proven experience in HR, preferably in a start-up or small business environment - Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices - Comfortable managing international freelancer contracts - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities - Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HR software systems - Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality Working Arrangements - Part-time position (6 hours per week) - Hybrid working model with occasional visits to our Truro office - Competitive salary commensurate with experience How to Apply Please send your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant experience and why you're interested in this role.
