Health and Safety Manager

Seeking a HSE Manager to play a vital role driving a continuous improvement culture which empowers our people to deliver value to our stakeholders. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the Health, Safety, and Environmental strategy throughout the Birmingham site. Client Details Our client is a global leading supply chain business, with a significant presence in the Automotive industry. This large-scale organisation boasts a multitude of sites across the globe. Description Responsibility for a site within a defined by Line Manager Managing direct reports with MHE experience Provide HSE advice, guidance and support to enable the sites to comply with relevant statutory legislation Drive business Standardisation and assist with the continued adherence to the HSMS and any other relevant HSE policies at the sites Establish and agree a "Site Audit" to ensure continued, regular and balanced site inspection is maintained Meet annual Safety, Health and Environmental objectives which will be assessed via the performance management system Assist the central HSE function in delivering the functional business objectives Coordinate and assist the Management team(s) in HSE initiatives at the sites Profile A successful HSE Manager should have: Previous HSE responsibility in warehouse and transport environments, target focused and an ability to deliver standardised programmes NEBOSH is essential Analytical ability / commercial experience /contractual understanding Carrier management and development experience would be beneficial Stakeholder management and management influence Accustomed to working with project management and across functions Job Offer Whats on offer: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum.
