Role: Senior Quantity Surveyor Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Salary: £50,000 to £64,000 Benefits: £6,000 car allowance, 27 days annual leave + bank holidays, pension, healthcare, bonus, flexible working, excellent career prospects An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure contractor delivering a £90m heavy civil engineering project in Cambridge. The Senior Quantity Surveyor will quickly become an integral part of the team, developing junior surveyors and managing a number of large packages across the project. As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will: Manage Budgets and Contracts: Ensure projects are delivered within budget, negotiate contracts, and manage sub-contractors. Conduct Risk Management: Identify, assess, and manage risks Collaborate Across Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery. Deliver Reports and Documentation: Provide accurate financial reports and maintain comprehensive project documentation Subcontractor Management: Manage a number of subcontractors across the project, taking responsibility for contract negotiation and administration, procurement, applications for payment, agreement of final accounts and more. You'll need a relevant degree in Quantity Surveying or similar field, Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills and Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
