I am working with a prime residential specialist who have been established for over 25 years and have built a name for the quality of their delivery and honest and collaborative approach with everyone they work with. Projects typically vaule from 2m - 12m ranging from basement excavations, fa ade retentions, complex temporary works and cut and carve projects through to super prime internal refurbishments/ fit outs and sympathetic restorations.
They are seeking an Assistant Buyer to support the procurement and site teams by assisting in sourcing and purchasing materials, products, plant and services.
Key Objectives:
- Assist in Procurement: Support the Senior Buyer in sourcing and purchasing materials and services at competitive prices, ensuring timely delivery to meet project deadlines.
- Supplier Management: Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and assist in identifying new suppliers, ensuring they meet our quality and compliance standards.
- Order Processing: Prepare and issue purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Cost Management: Monitor and track costs against budgets, ensuring procurement activities align with financial objectives.
- Inventory Control: Assist in managing inventory levels, ensuring optimal stock levels are maintained for ongoing projects and anything placed in storage.
- Plant Management: Coordinate the scheduling of hired-in and owned plant equipment, monitoring cost effectiveness of plant hire and ensuring all bought plant is maintained and accurate records are kept.
